Phew what a busy day
I worked from our MK office today and got loads done in a quiet corner with no interruptions, including preparing for my annual appraisal tomorrow. That said, by 1.30pm I still had not got to the prep for my seminar run though due at 9am tomorrow and had to decide whether to give up part of my afternoon off to do it.
I opted instead to do what I had arranged and met my sister, her husband and her friend R (a blipper so strictly speaking a blipmeet) at Bicester Village for lunch but not before I got stuck in a jam around Buckingham (an area to be given a very wide berth at present) and having a good chat with B on the phone to catch up after her recent business trip to San Francisco. I was late so joined them for pudding and coffee and it was great to see R again. The last time I saw her, Teddy was only about 5 months old.
Then we all piled back to C’s for tea and more fun times playing with Teddy who’s got a cold, poor love. He’s at such a lovely age at the moment, very interactive and curious, constantly on the go and doing new things and charming us all with his beaming smiles, giggles, funny noises and attempts to play peek-a-boo. He crawls over to be picked up, has a cuddle then asks to be put down again and finds someone else to get cuddles with. Here is R with Teddy.
After a delicious dinner, I eventually came home for 10.30pm, a bit late for me. I have planned to wake up early and do my prep for work first thing, so I have changed my sheets, will have a shower and then get my head down.
Oh and Her Grace, Queen Lottie of Airedale arrives in a hour’s time. Can’t wait to see her….
