Day 1 at Kanha - The nature trail

Started really early in the morning and caught a flight to Nagpur, then drove to Kanha by car. I was thrilled and excited about what this trip would bring. Kanha is a place I always wanted to visit due to my love for animals and nature. This is the jungle that Rudyard Kipling was inspired by to write the jungle book. The character Mowgli was also created for Kanha.

Once we reached and checked in to the MP Tourism resort, we had a most sumptuous lunch followed by a quick nap. We had collected information on the safaris and decided to go from the next day as we were already late.

In the evening we went on the nature trail behind the resort. It was really beautiful with a river running through and lovely trees birds and few animals.

We got back and decided to come back to the nature trail before the morning safari. The evening went off well followed by a good dinner and meeting some more tourists at the resort.
