Fabialous surf

In Portugal today driving the new Skoda Fabia. On arrival at Lisbon airport, Skoda had decided to mangle the language, and there were big signs announcing the Fabialous new car. Hmm.

Actually it's a decent to drive and reasonably priced small family hatch, and we have been lucky to spend the day testing different versions of it on test routes close to the Atlantic coastline in fabulous weather. Stopped at a fish restaurant for lunch, where the grilled prawns were the biggest I've ever seen and the sea bass was divine.

This part of Portugal is famous for its massive waves rolling in from the Atlantic, and the surfers were out in force trying to ride the wave crests, like something out of Hawaii-Five-O. It has been a very long day, starting with the rude awakening of a 5.15 alarm call, but a very productive one. Dinner over, it's time to sit down and write about the car ...
