Puddle Sunset
It's virtually rained all day until late afternoon. There was no inclination to go out, and I'd been given instructions by the 'ball and chain' that a parcel was coming and I needed to be in to sign for it. Goodness knows the dilemma if I was called out before it was delivered. The other instruction was to record Coronation Street for her to watch when she gets in from work at 10.15pm.
Well, the external hard drive for the tv was having none of it. It was sending my laptops into a loop from which I had to re-boot. I took the executive decision to bin it.
I needed to get to Maplins on Newport Road, Cardiff, to get a new one. To avoid the rush hour traffic I went along the coast road which makes a change and more chance of a blip photo. I bought a high speed SSD USB drive of 128 GB, and headed back along the coast road turning off at St Mellons. The M4 traffic was at a standstill. I felt smug! I could see there was a redness in the sky and wondered if I could get something of it.
On driving over the bridge at Michaelstone-Y-Fedw I saw a massive puddle with a tree reflection and a nice reddish glow of the sky in with it. I managed to get a couple of photo's. No sooner had I got home, I was called out. I got back to watch Dads Army on BBC2 on the kitchen tv. The old comedies certainly are the best!
Hopefully, she'll be pleased with her delivery and play with it as she watches Corrie. The things we do for peace and quiet - at least it got me a sunset picture.
