I know this is meant to be a photo a day taken on the day but bear with me on this one.

Today I went to Stafford where they have some lovely formal gardens in the middle of town by the river that are always a breath of fresh air when walking from the station. However, today they had started putting the beds to bed for the winter so all the plants were gone and they were turning over the soil. So, I thought I'd show you a picture of how lovely they looked back in September.
