Chilterns wood

I had a lovely drive this morning through one of the best areas of Chilterns beech woods on my way to the members day of the Upper Thames branch of Butterfly Conservation in Amersham. The colours are starting to get quite intense now. Wonderful series of presentations during the day, including Matthew Oates on his beloved Purple Emperors and Martin Kincaid on Hairstreaks in Milton Keynes. Off to the New Forest tomorrow.
