Dead or Alive?

As part of the garden revamp, we had to move this ceanothus from the site of the summer house and, although a few other plants have survived the move, this one is most certainly looking the worse for wear. That said, we had considered it to be completely dead until these green leaves started shooting through to make us at least wonder if it ought to be saved.
