Island Fishing Village

This is another colorful fishing village on Santa Catarina Island in southern Brazil.
It is called It is called Pantano do Sul. Fishermen from Azorean descent inhabit the village. It is on the southeastern coast of the island. The countryside is made of hills covered by a dense forest with large valleys, where cows & horses graze in the fields. There is a beautiful, white sandy beach in a protected bay with a backdrop of other tiny islands. Hard to believe this is Brazil!
