Flower

The mild weather is still managing to fool some flowers into blooming. Normally by this time of year I have cleared away the summer bedding but there is still a bit of colour to be had. However, I suspect the weather will turn soon; I have a theory based solely on experience that we always get a very cold spell in early November, usually coinciding with Halloween or Bonfire Night, after which it warms up again until January. I've not been proved wrong yet, so it will be interesting to see if it happens again this year.

The house is smelling very Chrismassy at the moment - mincemeat and Christmas puddings have both been made today. The cake will be made next week. Only two months to go......!
