"I don't get out much...."

This evening, we were invited round to a friend's house to celebrate 100th birthday (that's really two X 50ths!)

They have been living elsewhere for over 6 months while their house was completely re-modelled. It was stunning !

A great night, and a chance to catch up with old friends. Food was amazing. One friend's husband had made pulled pork. We were envious of the lucky woman who had a culinary husband. Until she told us he starts making it at 11.00 pm the night before, it cooks until 4 pm the next day. By that time there's condensation running down the windows and walls, the back door has swollen shut and the smell is everywhere.

Bet Jamie Oliver doesn't have that problem!
