Oor wee monster

Here's No 3....an adorable monster.

She had an appointment at Sick kids hospital today. When she was about 14 months old she had an unlucky fall and broke her elbow. Being so little she couldn't tell us how bad it was, but as a precaution we rushed her to the Sick Kids, where the full implication of her injury was a shock to us.

They operated after calling out the Theatre staff at 2 am, and pined and reset the bones.

5 years later....all is well. For a while there was concern about damage to the growth plate, and possible future operations - but thankfully she is dinky doo! It's utterly fascinating to see the xrays taken over the years - and the progress.

She can't quite move her left elbow as much as her right, but you would hardly notice. And it doesn't affect her dancing, gymnastics, swimming or Karate!

The Sick Kids are (and always have been) amazing. I feel a bit sad that she has been officially discharged, as the staff are wonderful.

God bless the NHS !

Back at Weegie base camp. Mr S doesn't like housework (and doesn't know how to clean a toilet)...he hasn't crumbled and allowed me a cleaner yet....but I'm still working on it!

Have a toptastic weekend!
