The farmer wants a wife

Because I feel like a housewife and i'm not even married.

I'm now feeding four men and myself, and the last two days a teenage girl.

In all fairness the farmer and his kids fend for themselves mostly, I do their lunches sometimes and cook dinner for everyone every night. But i'm now doing lunches for a couple of workers, which also means more washing, more making beds....

So today I made marmalade from the orange tree outside, I don't think it's set due to them being sweet oranges and having no muslin to soak out pectin, but it has a lovely flavour. I've also made more pasties and since my bakewell cake has nearly disappeared i'll be making another batch of welsh cakes tomorrow... yawn.
