Smooth & Cracked

This is my Mono Monday challenge entry today.

Thank Goodness for Blip for getting me off my computer at which I had spent most of this lovely sunny day writing a letter to "Dear HMRC". At 16:30 I checked what time sunset was - 16:42. I raced down to Southborough Common but the sun had gone. This dead old tree bough in the gloom will do for my "textures" entry. It was so old the bark had come off and the wood was quite smooth, but very cracked.
