Eagle eye

I had a hard time choosing a photo - we saw lots of amazing things today. We visited a wild animal park and saw many lovely creatures including this stunning white-tailed eagle, wolves, jackal, wildcats, Przewalski horses and much more. We then crossed the steppe in a horse-drawn cart where we watched a Puszta horse show and the incredible Puzsta-Five - google it!

We watched cranes again tonight from an isolated hide on a patch of mudflat (which involved some manoeuvring on uneven ground in the darkness), as the sun was setting. We were even closer this time and they started arriving earlier, so we could see them quite clearly as they flew overhead and landed on the mudflats in front of us. Really really enjoyed the whole experience!
