Today's the day ...................... for proper fish and chips

Time to set off again on our eastward travels - and this time we kept going until we reached the sea.

On the way though, we encountered our third National Park of the trip - the North York Moors - quite different again from the Dales. We had a lovely walk to see the Kilburn White Horse at Sutton Bank - and on the way we watched the gliders of the Yorkshire Gliding Club being towed up into the sky and then left to swoop and glide on the up-currents.

Eventually, we arrived at our destination for the night - Whitby. There was no doubt about what we were having for tea because this place is renowned for its fresh fish. So we went to the Quayside - National Winner Best Fish & Chip Shop 2014 - and I'm pleased to tell you we were not disappointed.
