Happy to be home with no plans and nowhere to go for a couple of days.

The front door's been painted pillar box red since we've been away. It's gorgeously glossy, bright and shiny and a welcome sight. Just need some pots of red geraniums and pumpkins to finish it off.

I'm going to spend the day unpacking and cooking; filling the house with good autumn smells. The children are happily unpacking and rediscovering the Halloween dressing up box.
