Crab apples

There's a really prolific harvest of crab apples this year, just waiting for all the thrushes to travel down from Scandinavia. With constant rain and gloom today, the brightest cheer in the garden was bright red apple baubles weighing down the branches of the John Downey and dripping with little transparent jewels.
