Eagle

I got an excited call from Mr. Lightwave this morning - he was on his way to the supermarket to get eggs for breakfast - saying there was a magnificent bald eagle sitting low down on a tree next to the road and would I like him to come back and pick me up so I could photograph it? But of course! So here it is, in all its eagley magnificence.

Bald eagles are not uncommon in these parts - we see them circling overhead quite often - but they don't usually pose on a tree quite as nicely as this one.
