Unexpected Explosion

So there I was, standing in the kitchen and just about to add Coconut milk to what I was cooking. Opened the tin and heard a "bang".

"Bang" isn't a noise I associate with opening tins.

But there had most certainly been quite a substantial "Bang". And the newly cleaned kitchen and I were very prettily speckled with white. And the little can started to do its best imitation of a 1960's Sci-Fi monster escaping from its prison.

Just as well I had another tin. And the exploding tin had a best-before date of June 2015, in case you thought our housekeeping was shoddy.

As for the rest of the day, it was harder to breath today than it has been for ages. Here's hoping that's comparable to "darkest before the dawn" and all that.
