Surprise Appointment

I was up early as per and was having my breakfast when the phone rang. My sick doctor wasn't so sick and was in the practice, did I fancy getting along there?

Well OK then.

So I went. And then the fun didn't start - I had to give several blood samples and then was sent off to have an x-ray (called a Röntgenbild after Wilhelm Röntgen, who discovered x-rays and won the first ever Physics Nobel Prize as a result).

I have no idea what to make of x-rays. They just look variously foggy and/or dark. With bones in. I like the bone bit but the foggy/dark looks like nothing to me.

It turns out, I'm still ill and have to go back on Tuesday lunchtime for yet another appointment. Ho-hum.
