The Judge Business School

In 1991, benefactions from Sir Paul and Lady Judge, together with a trust, provided funds for a business school on the site of the old Addenbrooke's hospital in Trumpington Street, Cambridge. Occupying the northern part of the site, it was completed in 1995 and designed by the architect John Outram. It is one of the world's top business schools. I had heard how remarkable the interior was so I just walked in and had a wander around. It is four storeys high over a basement and the colourful décor was absolutely amazing. I climbed the stairs to the top where there was seating in an outside landscaped area. Earlier I had been to the Fitzwilliam museum nearby, to see the Mannequin exhibition which was most interesting. Then tea and cake in the restaurant. Altogether, a delightful day out.
