Sight of a War Memorial

This large Surrey village is steeped in history, so I decided there could be a blip here for today. The old water fountain was erected in 1887 and the war memorial in 1920. I intended taking a photograph of the fountain with its mellow stone when I caught sight through one of the arches of the war memorial. This has been recently cleaned and with the flag flying in readiness for next weekend's national ceremony . ...... the blip of the day!
