The last of the berries this Autumn.

On a wet day, I decided I would do a blip from indoors. Having dismissed puddles and wet leaves on the trees, I suddenly spotted several birds on a small hawthorn tree. They were collecting the last of the berries. I watched for a while and managed to take a shot of a female blackbird with a berry in her mouth. The tree will no doubt be bare by tomorrow as the birds have been feasting on the autumn crop most of the day.
