Wawel and the Dragon

On our last day in Krakow we walked to Wawel Hill. The Castle there dates back to the 14th Century and legend has it that before it was built a Dragon lived in the cave there. The Dragon was defeated by a prince who built the Castle and city over the dragon's lair.

Again, breathtaking sights, and it's added to our list of places to explore further when we visit again. The Blip is of Rebecca deliberately pulling a grumpy face in front of Wawel Castle.

But we did climb down the steps into the dragon's cave, which was a lot of fun. Outside the cave is a statue of the dragon which breathes fire every 10 minutes or so.
