Sunshine on Leith?
Well, not quite - but sunshine on Newhaven, only a mile or so west. The girls enjoy walking through the old part of Newhaven, scuffing through the dead leaves and exploring tiny alleys that would lead them back to familiar streets and thence home.
This lovely morning was followed by an increasingly foul evening as we drove west into torrential rain (with dramatic puddles on the road that had escalated to floods by the time we were in Greenock) and high winds, and culminated in a heaving journey across the Firth on a high tide.
