Katie In The Woods

A beautiful warm sunny start to the day - off to the shops in shirtsleeves!

On our walk today we found an almost dead pigeon in the woods - it was crawling around on the ground - covered in flies. I wasn't quite sure what was wrong with it - there didn't appear to be any injury, it may have been poisoned so I didn't want to pick it up or let the dogs get too close.

We also got stopped by a man in a car asking if we had lost a dog - apparently there was one running loose further up the lane. Anyway as we were walking along the lane we did spot a dog - but it took one look at us and ran away across the fields, it didn't respond to any calls. I didn't recognise it and only hope it found its way home.
