Surprising?

You would hardly think that someone from gritty Crewe who is also a big fan of the rough and tumble of Stock Car racing would become sufficiently interested in Opera to take out a season ticket for the Cine-Opera from the New York Met....but that's what has happened.
Last night was Carmen, with its well known music and plenty of gritty rough and tumble......when I think about it, perhaps after all it should not be altogether surprising??
