Take off

HELP.
I cropped this picture using picasa to show the swan centre left, leaving its 'foot prints' in shot.
In the file on my PC the crop has taken and the altered image is the only variant visible, but when I pulled the picture accross to blipfoto the original uncropped version re-appeared [above].
What I am I not doing right?
