St Cuthbert's Cave Walk

Today our walking group did a short walk to St Cuthbert's Cave, which is on St Cuthbert's Way, the 60+ mile trail from Melrose Abbey to Holy Island. A friend and I did the trail a few years ago. It is to be recommended as every day is varied - over the Eildon Hills with stunning views, along the banks of the Tweed, through countryside to the Cheviots then the last part is walking across the sands when the tide is out, to Holy Island. Today we just did a short walk, but we had lovely views to the Cheviots to the west and Holy Island in the east. Tonight we are having a bonfire party, so I'll need to be getting out the warm winter gear.
