End of the Line

We planted these tomato plants last May and have enjoyed their fruits since July. Tonight there's supposed to be a killing frost so I picked all the remaining tomatoes and pulled the plants out by the roots.

Not a bad growing season---May to November.


As time passes the ones I picked will slowly ripen in their snug little box in the basement. But by the end of December I'll be moaning about how much I miss the taste of fresh tomatoes.
