A heron visits the Shore

As I walked to the bus stop this morning I saw a familiar shape in an unlikely setting - a heron standing up to his thighs in the Water of Leith, managing to look dignified and calm amidst the rush hour traffic and close by all those noisy gulls.

Pumpkin news: I made another quarter of the beast into the customary pumpkin stew and roasted the seeds in the oven. Result!
