Bus tour

A trip into Jo'burg and Soweto. Our hosts used to work there when first married but haven't ventured in for many years. Considering it has been 20years since the ANC have been in power the situation for non whites hasn't really improved, the city looks tired and rundown although there seem to be new bus shelters, also for the non wealthy whites life is getting tougher whilst Zuma has built a 20 million pound village for his wives and children. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. C's sister had her electric cutoff even thou she is 5000 rand in credit because the accts dept hadn't processed the receipt of payment. Conversely whilst processing applications for school C's mother sees prove of address letters from blacks owing 15000 rand and they are not cut off because they live in a township. Middle class
gets squeezed everywhere. I hope things improve soon for all.
