Deaf man on boat

A busy morning teaching. The students have just twigged that exams are looming, and have suddenly discovered a thirst for knowledge that previously none of us knew they had. Then a meeting with a colleague from a rival university, a visit to the Scottish Parliament, a cathedral, and eventually a boat.

(The man must be deaf, because no matter how loudly I hollered at him, he steadfastly refused to turn around.)
