Berries

A dreich day of non stop rain. The berries on the tree are just about the only colour around today. An unlucky gardener was working just below this tree, but as a gardener in Aberdeen I suppose it is necessary to get used to the rain. Many years ago I worked in a market garden, when it rained we were found work in the greenhouses, not only dry but warm as well.

I would have thought the birds would be already coming over to help themselves to a tasty snack, but they wait until early in the new year to raid this particular larder.
