Not original equipment

At a Conference in The Hayes Conference Centre, Swanwick, Derbyshire.

During the war this was Camp No. 13, also known as the Hayes camp, a prison facility for German prisoners-of-war. Fritz von Werra, who was an ace Luftwaffe pilot, had made two serious attempts at escape from other camps. He was sent to Swanwick for added security but immediately joined a group calling themselves Swanwick Tiefbau A.G. (Swanwick Excavations, Inc.), who were digging an escape tunnel.

von Werra escaped and the story of what happened thereafter was told in a 1956 film The one that got away!

I don't think that the play facilities would have been around then.....
