Frilly Skirts

Dianthus 'Memories' is another newbie to my garden and I must admit to having a few scattered here, there and everywhere.

Droplets sit upon their frilly skirts which remain pristine in colour and form while the scent is spicy as it drifts through the garden.

Dianthus ‘Memories’ is a compact highly fragrant dianthus from renowned UK specialists Whetman Pinks. ‘Memories’ will flower over an extended period from spring to late summer. It is an award winning released  recognised at the Chelsea Flower Show 2012 and ‘Best New Plant’ at the HTA National Plant Show in the UK. The beautiful and fragrant Dianthus ‘Memories’ has been named in support of Alzheimers research and education worldwide.

A fickle day weather wise, sunny, blue sky, grey clouds, showers and a mere 7C - not happy with spring this year, we should be in our t-shirts not pulling out our jerseys!
