At the coo's tail

A frost first thing, then a dry sunny day. Took the chance on a dry day to bring the first calved heifers and their Angus x calves in to the shed for the winter. The calves get an intra nasal vaccine for pneumonia, their backs clipped to stop them sweating and a pour on wormer. They don't take too kindly to having vaccine squirted up their nose and quite often I suffer blow back. At least I shouldn't catch pneumonia! It was about a mile along the road to home, but they didn't seem in much of a hurry. Swapped the new Blonde bull in beside them so I can keep an eye to see if he knows how to work!
The vet out to PD the cows we weaned last week. Most in calve, with only 4 either empty or too early on for the scan to pick up.
