Loro Parque

Today we travelled up to the north of the island - an hours drive - thankfully motorway all the way.

Loro Parque is rated by trip advisor as the number one zoo in the world. For me it was a cross between a zoo and Sea World with the emphasis on the dolphin and orca shows. The best show for us was the Dolphins, but we enjoyed them all.

We also had a behind the scenes trip for a good hour and a half and we came eye to eye with the Killer Whales. The penguin enclosure was interesting and the largest in the world (again along the lines of the Penguins at Sea World).
