Delphinium

The gardens in Pollard Park are looking very lovely at present. The plants have withstood the recent strong nor-west winds and the beds of flowers in Waterlea Gardens in Pollard Park are beautiful. Garden Marlborough, an annual event celebrating all things to do with flowers and gardens, is being held this coming weekend. Pollard Park is on the schedule for special field trips which are attended by keen gardeners from all around New Zealand and overseas. Thus our Park Staff has been putting in many extra hours to ensure that the Park and Waterlea Gardens are looking their best.
I drove over there this morning and pottered around photographing a variety of flowers and garden scenes. I was spoilt for choice. In the end I chose this image of some delphinium flowers for today’s blip.
