A little bit of cake

It seems to have got dark and I haven't taken any photos today.

Its not that I didn't go out. I did some gardening this morning and if only I'd taken my camera outside with me I could have taken photos of my friendly Blackbird begging for food, or a pair of Bullfinch that made a quick visit to the feeders.

I did go out to the shops this afternoon and got perishing cold. Mum decided she wanted to make a rice cake, for which she needed ground rice. Easier said than done. I think it must be an old fashioned thing as it wasn't easy to find. Four shops later I found it - only trouble was I had to go to Tesco to find it!!!!!!!!!! (something I am only prepared to do in dire emergencies)

Anyway the cake got baked and cooled down, but apparently its too new to cut into tonight so we'll have to wait until tomorrow to see its as good as it looks.
