Tarte au Citron
Didn't get out into the garden today as my friends arrived at 1230 and left about 430. We had a lovely long afternoon together and the lunch menu worked very well. Once it had been cooked, it pretty well took care of itself so I could relax and join in.
I made the pastry for this tart last night and finished the filling and baked it this morning. It's a Mary Berry recipe which uses 5 lemons, half a pint of cream and 9 eggs. (Kindly donated by my neighbour's hens). The timing was brilliant as it was just slightly warm from the oven when I served it.
