Dinner Guest

It was one of those laugh out loud moments. The wonderful sight of a pelican wandering up to the picnic table on the river to see if he could get an invitation to dinner. It reminded me of that wonderful movie - "Guess who's coming to dinner" starring Sidney Poitier. I don't think the little girls were too impressed at having to share their fish and chips with such a huge dinner guest who as you will see had brought an army of seagulls along for the ride.

It was a fantastic evening, good friends sitting by the river breaking bread with each other and remembering a wonderful woman. Our great friend had passed away just over 12 months ago and we had the opportunity to gather and remember our brave and fearless friend. A time to reflect together and share stories. Almost symbolically there was an amazing sunset followed by the sight of the full moon coming up over the river.
