Periwinkle

One of my favourite plants, the tough little Vinca, or Periwinkle, was looking bright and cheerful in the pouring rain today. I know it is considered to be an invasive weed in some counties, but I admire the combination of beauty and resiliance...and it is the source of some wonderful cancer drugs that have been important in my family. It will always have a place in my garden.
