Let there be light

Ironic that I posted a blip titled Unplugged a couple of days ago! We were without power for around 4 hours on Thursday afternoon, got it back just in time for me to make supper, then without it from 8 pm (exactly, according to the timers in the well house) until nearly 8 pm Friday night. So I'm posting this on Saturday morning after an unexpected period of being unplugged. I did enjoy the brief break from technology.
'Tis the season for power outages. We had a tremendous windstorm and the second outage was caused by a huge tree that came down on the power lines just down the road. Luckily the road wasn't blocked because we had appointment. Plenty of branches and leaves on the road all the way to town, and plenty of outages all over the island.
