A day out in the big city...

Caught the tram into Sheffield this afternoon to do a bit of shopping, followed by a meal in Leopold Square - this is the illuminations/water feature there. The aim of the day was to see/hear a friend performing as part of the Oratorio Chorus, "doing" Verdi's Requiem. There was an interlude of commemorative poetry in the middle which was also very powerful. Only just made it back in time to blip as we went for a drink after the performance, so we didn't catch the tram til nearly 11. We country mice aren't used to being stop-outs...
