Derwent Edge
Took advantage of a better weather forecast to have a walk in the Peak today. The valleys were filled with mist as we dropped down from Strines, but the sun soon burned it off, and the tops were clear for the rest of the day. It was chilly though, and sadly the flask failed to keep the coffee warm...
This is the aqueduct across Derwent Reservoir, taken on the way back to the car at the end of the day. We had covered 7 or 8 miles on a circular walk, which took in the stones on Derwent Edge that you can see on the left of the skyline. A lovely day, followed by the purchase of a new flask in Hathersage and a tasty meal at the Yorkshire Bridge.
Now - yesterday's Strictly with a coffee and chocolate just to round off the day... and then the results show.
