On a roll

Well, I am on a roll with the macros at the moment, so I might as well run with it.

This is your regular common or garden hover fly having a spot of lunch on a daisy.

I saw the first Monarch of the season today, and also (I think) a marbled xenica which would have been another first for this garden, but my camera was down the back, and by the time I got it, the butterfly had moved on.

Other than that it's been a cleaning and gardening day today, and guests for dinner.
