So many...
All over the country this morning heads were once again bowed in silence to remember those whose lives have been given so that ours may continue.
After my contribution to the thanks with my Royal British Legion branch I took myself off to say hello to Dad and see how his grave is looking. I shall need to go back to tidy it up properly for the winter but it's such a beautiful sunny day today it seems a long way off yet. He would always tell me if there were lots of holly berries by now we would have a harsh winter so I'd better hurry up and get things sorted as the bushes are full. He was a great one for 'old wives tales' (for want of a better description) so even to this day I moan if a blackbird starts 'chooteling' outside as that means it's going to rain. No blackbirds today, just sunshine, blue skies and lots of men, women and I dare say children remembered.
