Dunham Massey

Late morning we travelled to Dunham Massey for a short walk and some fresh air, before returning to Sunday chores. The old trees are bereft of a lot of leaves, but a lot are still hanging on. The bracken is a lovely brown. On a Sunday Dunham can feel a bit like Blackpool, with lots of people - because it is nearby, it is a pleasant place to visit, it's an easy place to push a buggy and for families to wander, and kids like spotting the deer and running around. Next week the house closes to re-open next March - we haven't been to the Stamford Hospital exhibition yet - that will be next year.
