Lost day

Omg, I didn't get up til 2.30pm, having gone to bed at 9.30pm, first woken at 6.30am then turned the alarm off several times and finally woken up at 1.45pm! Shocking. It's not as though I feel unwell or anything. Mind you, I had a couple of early mornings last week, well, early for me.

So, I got dressed and went off to Homebase to get some paint mixed for the kitchen, dining room and sitting room but their machine was broken so I picked up a few groceries. I had the car washed and made the ultimate school girl error of forgetting to wind my window back up before driving into the car wash... what a total plonker... I have to admit to getting rather wet!

I came home to change beds and get some more washing on. I also delivered a few leaflets round the village for the church. What a difference a day makes. Today I missed a glorious bright blue, sunny day. Still, it was nice to catch even a small part of it.

I'm pleased to say that lodger L has managed to sand the black stain out of my kitchen work top and he's re-oiled it and you'd never know there'd been a stain at all. Good job. I think I'll still ask for a free clean as compensation from the cleaning company and pass the money on to L for his trouble. Talking of which, here's my filthy sitting room wall awaiting it's fresh coat of paint. Yuk!
